B.A.C.P - British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy


The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy is the professional association for members of the counselling professions in the UK.

Counselling changes not just the lives of individuals, but of families and communities.

Our desire for social justice determines everything we do and guides our relationship with our members and the public, as well as commissioners and government. It’s why we champion the counselling professions as a viable, and increasingly evidence-based choice for people. We know counselling works.

Foundation for Infant loss training

The Foundation for Infant Loss Training is committed to providing first class education in Infant Loss and Bereavement. We offer study days across the world as well as offering the E Learning distance learning course in Pregnancy and Infant Loss. Both courses are award winning have been accredited world wide.

N.C.P.S - National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society

Accredited professionals list

We play an important role within the profession of counselling in the UK and in May 2013 the Society was one of the first organisations to gain Accredited Register status with the Professional Standards Authority Accredited Register programme.

Our belief is that counselling (and related therapies) should be seen as a vocation (not just a job but a worthy occupation) and that the relationship between counsellor and client is important for the outcome of therapy.
